Hunter Stephan, from the September 2012 volunteer class, taught 30 children how to play ultimate frisbee at our monthly health and wellness program, Liga de Deportes. They also played soccer, ate a healthy lunch, and were quizzed on frisbee trivia!
We celebrated our biannual Festival de Arte this month! The theme was recycled art and the categories were plastic, cardboard, group art, mixed materials, and performance. It was great to see all of the creations the children came up with!
At this month`s Liga de Deportes, we had a great yoga workshop taught by VE Global`s Chilean Board Treasurer, María Jose Fuentes. The children also enjoyed playing basketball and soccer, eating a healthy lunch, and answering trivia questions about yoga for prizes.
With the beach an hour and a half away and the mountains bordering the city, there are so many ways to enjoy the outdoors in Santiago.
