Great news! VE Global recently won a grant (Fondo de Fortalecimiento para la Sociedad Civil) from the Chilean government to help fund our literacy program, ¡Vamos a Leer!
Through ¡Vamos a Leer! we help motivate children to find the joy in reading. We help them set reading goals, they select what books they want to read, and we encourage them to finish. At the end of the summer, we host Carnaval to celebrate reaching their reading goals. This grant will help us improve our VE Global library as we purchase more books for the children to choose from!
