April’s Liga de Deportes featured a basketball workshop with some of our talented volunteers leading drills and basketball games. After the main activity, the kids took a break with a snack of whole wheat pan con palta, carrot sticks, apple slices, bananas, and nuts, and of course plenty of water to rehydrate them after all the basketball practice. Then the kids had time for stations like Twister and soccer. The trivia this month focused on Earth Day, and how it’s important to keep our planet healthy just as it’s important to keep our body’s healthy!
