Why Chile
Chile’s mountains, beaches and glaciers have become a popular tourist spot in recent years, and Chile is seen as a rising star amongst its Latin American peers, boasting one of the strongest economies in the region. The metropolitan capital city of Santiago is one of the safest in Latin American. Often overlooked, however, is the drastic income inequality in this developing country. In correlation to the disparity in income and wealth distribution in Chile, distribution of quality services for children are drastically unequal, resulting in the poorest children being served by under funded and understaffed institutions, and without options to change their situation.
VEGlobal’s programs seek to bridge the gap in these services, while supporting the institutions in their work; we work closely with our network of institutions to design and implement programs that benefit the children, giving them the same opportunities to grow and succeed as their peers.
