January 2012: Honored Volunteers

All our volunteers give so much time and energy to VE Global and the children we serve. Check out which past and present volunteers have been honored this month!

The Lloyd Family

Honored by Ron Cutraro:

"Again, this year, I'm making a donation to VE Global, a truly outstanding organization that focuses on some of the neediest children in Santiago, Chile, on behalf of Leelee, Betsy, Stratton, Brooke and Ashton as my Christmas gift!”

Jamie Ensey

Honored by Gege Muenchausen:

"Jamie is my daughter and I am very proud of her caring heart, work and all she does for the children and VE Global"

Mariah Healy

Honored by Ann Dillon:

"Mariah's love and passion for people has found a home in VE since December 2008. Mariah fell in love with the compassionate work of VE and her devotion to the children of Santiago has been beautiful to witness. Her blog, mariahinchile, is inspiring to read. Mariah you are a gift to this world!"

Lily Gordon

Honored by Erica Horwitz and David Gordon:

"We are honoring Lily for all the effort, enthusiasm, and and understanding she has given the girls at Aldea, the budding scientists at the La Pintana school, and the children participating in Vamos a Leer, Liga and other VE events."

Safia Mizon Thioune

Honored by Zahra Thioune:

“I would like to honour Safia and her work with VE for many reasons, not least because she is my 'baby' sister whom I miss desperately! I have worked with child-focused NGOs for the last 4 years and have seen what a difference the time and commitment of volunteers can make, not only to the organisations' programmes, but to the children whose lives benefit from them. It is relatively easy to give money, but time is the most valuable resource. I will miss Safia desperately this Christmas, and am already counting down the days until I see her again, but am so proud of the difference she is making in Santiago.”

Robin Andrews

Honored by Elizabeth Cherry:

“We are so proud of Robin and all that she does to help others. She gives of herself and she gives unselfishly. Thank you Robin for being so very special. We love you, Bob, Beth, Bob III, Stuart, Will, Charlotte, Georgia, Elizabeth and Ian.”
