Help coordinate an event
Small teams of energetic volunteers work together to find a location, set a date, and invite guests. It doesn’t matter where you live, or how much time you can commit; if you want to get involved, here's how:
1) Decide on the type of event: It could be in a bar or in your home, with a couple of friends or four hundred of your closest acquaintances!
2) Your first step: Send us a quick email (here), saying “I live in YOURCITY, and I want to help organize a fundraiser”. We'll get straight back to you and get the ball rolling.
3) What you need: Energy, internet access and a few ideas. We´ll provide all the support you need and a ¨VE Event Package¨ full of start-up materials.
4) The end result: Not only will you have a fun night, but you´ll also be fighting for at risk children in Santiago. Events can range from a casual backyard BBQ to a busy 400-guest super-function. 1) Assist a team: Want to help make an event near you a success, but don’t have the time to commit to leading the effort? Let us know how much time you are able to give (here), and we'll get you in touch with people in your area.
2) Attend an event: Check this page regularly to find details of an event near you, then sign-up and go!
3) Invite your friends: Know someone who would like to learn more? Point them to this page, or pass their contact info to their local UNITE. ACT. ENGAGE. team (here).
4) Request an event: Want to see an event in your area, but don’t have the time to coordinate one? Send a quick email to development@ve-global.org and we’ll see what we can arrange in the future.
