Please Note
We would love to accept all applicants, but can only manage a certain number of volunteers. As we receive more applications than available positions, our selection process is competitive. Please take your time in filling out the application. The application consists of four parts: the written application, a CV or Resume, a signed letter of recommendation (Intensive Experience only), and an interview with a current or former volunteer. We review applications as they arrive, and the selection process takes approximately four to six weeks.

Intensive Experience

Applications are open for volunteer classes beinning in March, June, and September 2010! The selection process for the Intensive Experience takes approximately 4-6 weeks. To apply you must:

1) Carefully read the application instructions by clicking here.

Important Changes for Future Applicants
VE Global is preparing to change both our class schedule and minimum stay requirement! Beginning with the September 2010 class, all volunteers must commit to a minimum stay of four months. As such, the class schedule will be changed to three classes per year, beginning in September, January, and May.

Part-time Experience
For individuals looking to get involved with a Santiago-based non-profit organization but who aren’t able to volunteer full time, we offer part-time volunteer positions. Part-time volunteers must make a six-month minimum commitment to VE Global and have at least an intermediate level of Spanish.  For the Part-time Application, which we require to be completed in Spanish, click here.

Internship Program
For students and recent graduates looking to volunteer abroad as well as gain experience working in an international non-profit, we offer a limited number of intern positions.  VE interns typically work part-timein one of our partner institutions and part-time in the VE office, working directly with our team of directors and coordinators.  Unlike volunteers in the Intensive Program, interns do not need to arrive with a class of volunteers.  Interns must stay a minimum of two months and must be available to work full-time during their internship.  Internship applications are processed in the same manner as the Intensive Experience applications.  For the Internship Program application, click here.

Consultant Program
For professionals and university graduates with limited time but specific skills and experience to contribute to VE, we offer consultant positions.  Consultants come to VE with a specific project in mind, based on their area of expertise.  Past consultants have included health professionals who run general and sexual health workshops in a few institutions as well as workshops for the volunteers on how to teach sexual education, and a group of law students who worked with a team of Chilean lawyers to help VE obtain non-profit status in Chile.  Consultant applications will be reviewed by the Executive Director and Director of Volunteer Relations.  For the Consultant Program application, click here.
